October is our Alpaca Anniversary month!
Vickie and I started our alpaca journey in October of 2007,making this our 19th year of raising these wonderful animals.
We've learned so much and met so many nice people over the years, what an incredible journey this has been!
I find raising alpacas to be one of the most rewarding experiences I've had. The peaceful, gentle nature of these animals just rubs off on you and is a calming influence in today's hectic world.
It's been our pleasure and privilege to help many new breeders to start their own herds nad to mentor them along the way. The friendships we've built mean so much to us and are one of the things we value most.
I'm happy to say that we;ve been successful as a livestock business, but beyond that, and even more importantly, there is a rewarding aspect to raising these animals that is invaluable.
